It Begins with a Feeling
It Begins with a Feeling
In 2008, I left “the dream job” everyone said I should be grateful for. No backup plan, no fallback, and zero guarantees it would work out.
One week later, the market crashed. It made headlines. Businesses folded. Portfolios vanished. Major banks were wiped out overnight.
And I had just voluntarily walked away from a paycheck.
That’s when the voices outside and inside of me became shrill.
“You’ll regret this.” “You’ll come crawling back.” “What were you thinking?”
I wondered if they were right. Maybe it was impulsive. Reckless. Poorly timed.
Because most of us have been trained to conform, perform, and keep earning approval inside systems designed to contain us.
But the truth in my body bypassed the fear. Because it was a greater force than me. An undeniable instinct I had ignored for far too long.
THIS was NOT my LIFE.
It was my wisest decision. Zero regrets.
I was not built to follow orders. Not meant to do the same thing each day just because it was expected.
Not everyone thrives inside a structure built by the powers that be, playing by their rules, building their dreams. From what I see and hear many are barely surviving. You don’t know how to win that game. You are terrible at it.
But you play it because you were told you would not succeed otherwise. So, you act out of habit. Conditioning. Staying within invisible fence that rewards mediocrity, uniform thinking, and keeps you small.
When you feel small, you become small. And so does your business. You were trained in this way.
You are not designed to fit into the system. You never did. You were destined to create it for YOU. To play by YOUR RULES. To build YOUR DREAMS.
You intuitively know routine is not discipline. It is a prison. Following orders is not stability, it is a ceiling on your infinite potential. The predictability called comfort feels like a cage. I have never much enjoyed zoos. I don’t know any other living being who volunteers to be caged except humans.
Long before you could describe it, you felt it.
This feeling is your signal. Will you tune in?
