What Does it Mean to Be Fully Human?
We were never meant to be “optimized” Over the years we have been molded. Told to follow a script to move faster, produce more, and be perfect. Become more efficient, scalable, coded, like the machines we design.
I know. I once played the game freely. I was chained to long mobile leash, I was addicted to the 24/7 hustle. I wanted to please, exchanging free coffee, “unlimited” vacation time, and gym sessions for my soul.
Hitting targets, answering messages in my sleep, and befriending colleagues who were busy knifing me in the back.
They own your ideas, own you. Why do think Facebook is free? It is not generosity. YOU are the product. And you betray yourself willingly. I hear this all the time. “I need it to keep in touch with friends” Do you really need a third party to pick up the phone and call a friend?
There is talk of influence of Facebook and Google on the lives and health of its users. Influence of media, how news is reported and distributed. There are now petitions about invasion of privacy and tracking. This is not new. It has been there since the beginning.
This was the plan all along. If you truly enjoy and consent to being bought and sold, you continue. No judgement
I am not designed like everyone else in the metaverse. I am not an AI robot. I am not a precision machine. I am human.
Maybe you are not either?
For me to be fully human is to be uncoded. Stepping out of the autopilot programming and back into land of the real and alive. If you need a reminder, notice your breath fogging the mirror.
It means you stop outsourcing your wellbeing to the artificial: apps, algorithms, AI. It means to be whole and live life fully 3D.
It means you grow with purpose. Not the frantic self-help style that treats you like a broken thing to be fixed and then offers a generic solution.
Becoming unbound is slow, deliberate. You get curious about all parts of you. You ask questions. You think for yourself.
What does it look like?
Pick presence over performance. Rest without guilt. In person connection over the endless scrolling. Do one thing today not because it’s productive, but because it makes you feel alive.
You don’t need to do more. You need to be more fully you.
The world will keep trying to code you, to flatten you into a function, a metric, an output.
Your quiet rebellion is to stay whole. To stay curious. To stay connected. To stay human, on purpose, every single day.
You are not program to be run. It did not happen without your approval.
You are a life to be lived. Choose to live it uncoded.
